A resurgence in interest in this beautiful shade plant has resulted in new hybrids with exquisite variations on both foliage and flower. The genus is identified by its silvery spotted foliage and clusters of funnel-shaped flowers. Plants form nice spreading clumps. Foliage may be semi-evergreen in mild climates. They do best in rich, moist soil, but are very adaptable.
