These colorful accent plants are ideal for use as living fences at the back of a perennial border, in cottage garden or along fences and walls.  Although biennials that reseed, they act perennial in nature if they are deadheaded and cut down to new basal foliage soon after flowering.  They bloom all summer, with flowers from the bottom of the spike opening first.
