These self-supporting giants add lovely architecture to the back of the flower border, in a woodland setting, or for growing by a pond or stream. Their bold, dissected leaves range from 1 to 3 feet long. Grow in deep, moist, fertile soil. Plants die after setting seed, so either cut off flowers before seed matures to extend plant life or allow some seeds to self-sow. Seeds rapidly mature into flowering size plants.
