Among the best flowers for intense blue color.  Bristly stems bear spiraling clusters of 1/2 inch flowers resembling forget-me-nots.  Cutting back after flowering promotes rebloom.  Large oblong leaves have a coarse, hairy texture.  Although generally short-lived, plants often self-sow and continue to come back for many years.  Northern gardeners should let seed fall to ensure future plants.  Drought tolerant and deer resistant.
