An improved version of H. sieboldiana 'Frances Williams'. Thick, corrugated leaves, 13 inches long by 10 inches wide, have deep blue-green centers (more powdery-blue than Frances Williams) and wide gold margins. In spring the margins emerge pale green turning golden later than 'Frances Williams', thus nearly eliminating the problem of 'spring burn' which in some years is a problem with Frances Williams. Bears near-white flowers. O'Harra 99
