(Stoke's Aster) Mounded plants have fringed, Aster-like flowers and broad, deep green, strap like leaves. They are native to southern coastal plains, bogs, and pineywoods east of the Mississippii River, which gives them excellent heat tolerance. Plant in organically rich, moist soils that's well drained.
